Queens intersection renamed for Sandy Hook massacre victim

One of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre was memorialized in Sunnyside Saturday.

Six-year-old Benjamin wheeler was killed in the tragedy last December.

His family had lived in Sunnyside before moving to Newtown.

The corner of 41st Street and Queens Boulevard was named in Benjamin’s honor.

In the wake of the shooting, Wheeler’s mother was one of the parents who pushed President Obama for stronger gun regulations.
