In the tropics, Tropical Storm Gabrielle has weakend into a Depression earlier today. Wind shear and dry air is inhibiting any chance for it to redevelop into a more organized looking cyclone. With that said, the main threat is the copious amount of rain that Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands are getting.

In the Western Gulf of Mexico, the National Hurricane Center is also monitoring a tropical wave that has  50% chance of developing into a cyclone before it heads inland along the coast of Mexico.
