CROWN HEIGHTS (PIX11) — Five days of celebrating Caribbean pride and culture culminate Monday with the 46th annual West Indian Parade, which will bring millions to party on the streets of Brooklyn.
The festivities started with the parade at 11 a.m. and go until 6 p.m.
Revelers will enjoy Caribbean food, music and dancing with colorful costumes.
The parade will travel down Eastern Parkway from Utica Avenue to Flatbush Avenue.
Mayoral candidates are going to be in attendance and will have their own parade floats.
“The parade is about connecting with friends and experiencing other people’s culture” an excited parade-goer told PIX11 News.
