BROOKLYN (PIX11) – A one-year-old boy was killed Sunday evening after being shot in the head in Brownsville, the NYPD says.

The boy, identified as Antiq Hennis, was in a stroller crossing Livonia Avenue with his parents at about 7:20 when shots rang out. The baby was struck once in the left side of his head.

Police believe the shooter was aiming for the baby’s father. Sources say the shooting may be gang related.

The baby was pronounced dead on arrival at Brookdale Hospital.

Authorities say they have identified a suspect, but no arrests have been made.
