(PIX11) — A Bergen County police officer is in trouble after a standoff  with a state trooper.

It happened at the end of May on Interstate 95.

The county cop, who was driving an unmarked minivan, had someone pulled over when the trooper arrived. The two got into a shouting match.

Troopers are the ones responsible for keeping things safe on the turnpike.

State police defended the trooper’s actions, saying there were a couple of recent incidents in which people were posing as cops.

No word on how the Bergen County officer was disciplined.
