(PIX11) – Evidence is building that life on Earth may have started on Mars.

A scientist believes the “seeds” of life arrived on earth in meteorites blasted off Mars by impacts or volcanic eruptions.

He says an element that helped organic molecules develop into the first living structures was originally on Mars.

The scientist insists that element wasn’t available on earth when life first began three billion years ago because the planet’s surface had very little oxygen.
