Wake to be held for teen allegedly strangled by man

(PIX11) — A Long Island teenager charged in the death of Lynbrook girl is being held without bail.

Meanwhile, a wake will be held for 18-year-old Lauren Daverin Monday night in Hicksville.

She will be laid to rest on Wednesday.

Police say Daverin’s body was found on a footbridge in Rockville Centre Thursday night.

18-year-old Maxwell Sherman was arrested Saturday and charged with second-degree murder by strangulation.
