(PIX11) – Thousands of bikers were revved up on Staten Island Sunday to raise money for a good cause in the name of a fallen hero.

The Bikers for Bini charity was founded for firefighter Carl Bini who died in the 9-11 terrorist attacks.

The goal of this year’s event was to raise $200,000 for New Yorkers still struggling after Sandy.

The bikers’ goal is to raise attention to the charity as well as the fallen heroes of  9-11.
