(PIX11) – A group of retired NYPD cops are voicing their opinions about the city’s controversial stop-and-frisk policy.

The veteran officers support the policy, but not the way it’s currently being done.

They are in favor of the Community Safety Act which was created to stop officers from racial profiling.

The measure was vetoed in July by Mayor Bloomberg.

The Bloomberg administration has begun the process of appealing a federal judge’s ruling that says the practice is unconstitutional.
