(PIX11) — Actor David Cassidy of “The Patridge Family” fame was arrested for DWI Wednesday morning by a Schodack, New York officer, ironically named Tom Jones.

Cassidy, 63, had a .10% blood alcohol content when he was arrested at an overnight DWI checkpoint.

The actor reportedly spends summers in the Saratoga region and regularly visits Saratoga Race Course.

Because Cassidy pleaded no contest to a charge of DUI in Florida in February 2011, he is being charged with felony DWI.

Cassidy was sent to Rensselaer County Jail and was arraigned in town court.

He was released on $2,500 bail and is due to return to court on September 4th.
