Gov. Chris Christie gets secret weight-loss surgery

(PIX11) – New Jersey Governor Chris Christie signed legislation Monday banning gay conversion therapy on minors in the state.

Assembly Bill 3371 bans the practice of  “counseling to change the sexual orientation of a minor.”

Christie has in the past said that he believes individuals are born gay and doesn’t think homosexuality is a sin.

In a statement attached to the bill, Christie said, “I believe that exposing children to these health risks without clear evidence of benefits that outweigh these serious risks is not appropriate.”

New Jersey is only the second state in the country to ban the practice.
