Thousands audition for a once in a lifetime trip to Mars

(PIX11) — Tens of thousands of people have sent in audition tapes to get a shot at a trip to the red planet.

A Dutch non-profit called “Mars One” is looking for people willing to give up their lives on earth, to become the first humans to live on Mars.

The foundation’s searching for pioneers to colonize the red planet, a mission that would cost six billion dollars.

There are at least 100,000 earthlings who say they would leave earth for good.
