NEW YORK (PIX11) — Despite the rain tapering off, for the early part of Tuesday most of us trekked it around town with umbrellas.

Umbrella etiquette has unfortunately become increasingly scarce during wet weather — especially in New York City — where many of us are just concerned with staying dry.

In some cases, common courtesy gets thrown out the window. Why is that?
