BREAKING: Tornado touched down in New Jersey, National Weather Service confirms

The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in Manahawkin, NJ, earlier Tuesday, tearing trees from the ground and damaging multiple buildings.

Most of that damage was concentrated near the intersection of Route 9 and Oak Ave, where there were reports of roofs torn from houses.  It has been classified as an EF-0 tornado, with a maximum speed of 75 to 85 MPH

It was believed to have been roughly 50 to 100 feet wide and two miles long.
