Mets big guy can't open water bottle

A muscular Mets fan was caught on camera failing to open a water bottle at a recent game against the Kansas City Royals, and the announcers did not let him off lightly.

As he struggles with the cap, trying to use his pants and shirt to get a better grip, announcer Gary Cohen quips, “All that working out and you can’t open a water bottle?”

As the brawny man, arms flexing, continues to struggle, Ron Darling chimes in, “Sir, I think you’ve got the wrong workout program.”

The man, identified as Chris, a 38-year-old lawyer from White Plains, says the now viral video doesn’t tell the entire story.  “First of all, it was not my water bottle,” he told the NY Daily News.  “It was handed to me by a security guard in the dugout area who was having trouble with it. The guy was much bigger than me, by the way.”

It wasn’t played on the Jumbotron, Chris said, so he had no idea he was being filmed.  He added that neither he nor the security guard could make the cap budge in the end.

Luckily he’s taking it in stride, because the video has already been viewed on YouTube more than 2 million times.
