A Connecticut man who lost his family in a brutal home invasion has a new beginning.

Doctor William Petit and his wife Christine have announced they’re expecting a baby.

The pair tied the knot last year, after meeting at Petit family foundation fundraising events.

The couple says the baby is due in December.

In 2007, Dr. Petit’s wife Jennifer and their two daughters were murdered during a home invasion at their Chesire home.
