It looks like an act of kindness.

A man, helping a disabled woman by opening the door for her.

But just seconds later, it all takes a violent turn.

“He followed me from up the block,” 48-year-old Caridad Ramirez said.

It happened a couple of weeks ago at her apartment complex on Hamilton Place.
“He started asking me a lot of questions. do you live on the first floor? do you live alone? I was like.. now you’re asking a lot of question,” she says. “Next thing I knew he’s got me in a head lock”

Which was caught on the building’s surveillance cameras at 2:30am.
“He got the chains, then he said he was sorry and then he left,” Ramirez says about the attack

Police say he could be a known addict and looking for drug money.

They are now offering a $2K reward for anyone who has information about this robbery.
