NEWARK (PIX11) – The housewife, famous for flipping a dinner party table, is now caught flipping a tale about her family’s finances.

It was a reality show they hadn’t planned on for the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Teresa Giudice and her husband.

The couple got off on $500,000 bond each in court Tuesday after they were charged Monday on a  39-count indictment ranging from conspiracy to commit wire fraud, mail fraud, and even bankruptcy fraud.

U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman spoke after court this morning, saying the two gave up their passports, and if convicted Teresa’s husband could be forced out of the country.

“He is not a citizen of the United States. He’s a citizen of Italy. In the event of his conviction he’s facing possible deportation to Italy”.

Joe and Teresa’s attorneys say they will plead not guilty.

Both face up to 30 years each in prison.

Their arraignment hearing is scheduled for August 14th.
