John McCain says replacing the dollar bill with a coin will benefit strippers

(PIX11) – John McCain is pushing for a bill in the Senate that would abolish the paper dollar bill and replace it with a coin.

In addition to saving the Fed some serious cash, he says it would also benefit some under-represented citizens: strippers.

The Arizona Senator says making the switch would save the government billions in printing costs.

But McCain was questioned about how this would impact the exotic dancers, whose customary G-strings and garter belts are ill-equipped to accept dollars in coin form.

McCain’s response?  He said he hopes strip club patrons simply give bigger tips.
