Firefighter accused of making bogus 911 calls so he could rob empty firehouses

(PIX11) – One of New York’s Bravest is accused of stealing from his fellow firefighters.

The City Department of Investigation says 34-year-old Joseph Keene of Hicksville made bogus 911 calls to clear out four different firehouses in Queens and Staten Island so he could steal the items left behind.

The report says Keene lifted $2000 in cash.

Keene faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted on charges he stole two thousand dollars in cash.
