Florida Gov. says he won’t change controversial ‘Stand Your Ground’ law

(PIX11) – Florida’s governor says he will not change his state’s self-defense laws.

Governor Rick Scott met with a group of protesters who have been camped out in part of his office for three days.

They want the “Stand Your Ground” law eliminated.

Scott said “no,” so the protesters say they’re staying put.

The governor commissioned a task force to examine “Stand Your Ground.”

That panel said the statute didn’t need to be changed.
