(PIX11)– The three airports were able to reach 100 degrees this afternoon. Kennedy Airport’s 100 degree reading was a record for the day. Central Park only reached 98 degrees, but with humidity, it felt more like 105.

Excessive Heat Warnings are in effect tomorrow for most of the area, which means Heat Indices will once again, reach 105+.

A spotty thunderstorm may develop tomorrow late afternoon, but that will do very little in terms of giving some relief from heat. The heat will break this weekend with a cold from sweeping in from Canada late Saturday.

That cold front may give us some thunderstorms that could potentially be strong to severe. Next week, temperatures will be in the 80’s. The humidity will creep up later in the week but not as bad as this week.
