President Obama spoke highly of NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly  amid rumors that the top cop may be in line to lead the department of homeland security.

In an interview with Univision, the president commended Kelly for keeping New York ity safe from terrorists.

He says he believes Kelly is one of the best there is, calling him an outstanding leader.

The rumors come as homeland security secretary Janet Napolitano announced she was resigning last week.
