(PIX11) — “Glee” actor Cory Monteith died of “mixed drug toxicity” caused by a heroin and alcohol overdose, according to the British Columbia coroner.

Monteith, 31, played Finn Hudson, an upbeat young student and singing coach on the show, but battled substance abuse problems in his personal life.

The coroner  said the death appeared to be accidental, NBC reported.
