Three-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh preps for beach volleyball season

She’s one half of the beach volleyball duo who won 3 Olympic gold medals. Although her partner Misty May has retired, Kerri Walsh continues with the sport that made her famous.  While Walsh visited New York, she stopped by PIX11 Morning News to get folks excited about this year’s AVP Pro Beach Volley Tour.

The tour kicks off on Friday, August 16 in Salt Lake City, Utah and culminates Sunday, October 20 in Huntington Beach, Calif., just down the street from the new home of the AVP. The Tour features the world’s best players including Olympic Gold Medalist Kerri Wash Jennings, Phil Dalhausser, and Todd Rogers, Silver Medalists Jen Kessy and April Ross,and Olympians Sean Rosenthal, Jake Gibb and Nicole Branagh – all of whom have been signed exclusively by the AVP.
