OHIO (PIX11) – In Ohio, a 15-foot sinkhole opened up at a traffic intersection, swallowing up a woman and her car.

The woman says she was driving home when the ground started to shake.

Then her car started to fall; she landed on all four wheels and miraculously wasn’t harmed during the fall.

City officials blame the hole on the collapse of an outdated sewer, built back in the late 1800s.

They believe it broke and washed the ground away, leaving the concrete weaker and more vulnerable to split.

Firefighters were eventually able to get a ladder down into the hole to get her out.

A contractor is already working to replace the old sewer and eventually repair the hole.
