Mayoral hopeful Anthony Weiner is apologizing for a voter’s gay slur against his opponent City Council Speaker Christine Quinn.

Weiner met the elderly woman while he was on the campaign trail.

And it turns out their conversation was being recorded.

The voter told Weiner she wouldn’t vote for quote ‘what’s her name’ and then used a slur for a lesbian.

Weiner told her that she “shouldn’t talk that way about people.”

Friday, Weiner went one step further and called Quinn to apologize for the voter’s comment.
