According to Miss Utah USA, Marissa Powell, if we were to “create education better” America can finally bridge the income gap between men and women, or something like that. The “education” fail was the cringe-worthy response the bumbling beauty uttered during the Q&A portion of Sunday’s pageant telecast.

Nene Leakes, a reality star from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, posed the question to Powell.

“A recent report shows that in 40 percent of American families with children, women are the primary earners, yet they continue to earn less than men. What does this say about society?”

The beauty’s boneheaded answer – which will leave you scratching your head – has since gone viral on YouTube. Watch it above.
