NASCAR driver Jason Leffler dies after crash at Bridgeport Speedway

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – NASCAR driver Jason Leffler died Wednesday night after crashing at the Bridgeport Speedway in New Jersey, according to reports.

Leffler, 37,was competing in the track’s “Night of Wings”, and was behind the wheel of a Sprint Car, when he flipped during an accident along the track’s front stretch.

He suffered sever injuries and was airlifted from the track via helicopter.  He was pronounced dead at the Cooper Trauma Center.

He is survived by his son.
