Incredible video from professional storm chasers captured the view from inside a large tornado that tore through parts of Kansas Tuesday.

Riding in a “tornado intercept vehicle”, a heavily-armored, reconverted pickup truck, Sean Casey and Brandon Ivey captured the storm’s fury as it swirled over Smith County.  The storm managed to tear several instruments from the vehicle, and even open a door, but it didn’t lift it off the ground.

They estimated the wind speeds to be between 150 and 175 miles per hour.

Casey, Ivey and their TIV have been featured on the Discovery Channel’s ‘Storm Chasers’.

The severe weather continues after the storm that leveled Moore, Okla., with 16 tornado warnings in Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska.
