Coney Island (PIX11) – It’s hard to tell that Sandy swept through Coney Island. There may have been doubt. On Memorial Day, the crowds came. They ate, they sunbathed and played on the rides rebuilt just in time. They even took a dip.

Along the boardwalk, old businesses reemerged  and new business’ opened to be part of the comeback here

This shore community proving they’re stronger than the storm.

This is a part of Brooklyn where some homes and businesses were flooded with as much as five feet of water. The boardwalk repaired and clearly so is their spirit.
