MANHATTAN (PIX11) – Federal prosecutors have charged three Chinese nationals with industrial espionage.

They were conducting research as part of a U.S. Government-funded program at New York University’s Langone Medical Center.

The feds have accused the trio of passing private information to a rival university in china and a company backed by the Chinese government.

NYU officials have suspended them from the university.

One federal prosecutor described the men as “foxes in the hen house.”
