NEW YORK, New York (PIX11) – If you want extra ketchup with your Big Mac and fries, you’re going to have to pay for it.

According to DNAinfo NY, many McDonald’s franchises in the city are charging customers extra for the packets. On a recent visit to 35 McDonald’s restaurants south of Central Park, at least 15 charged customers who asked for extra ketchup. The charge for extra packets ranges, sometimes up to 25 cents.

The anomaly appears to be isolated for Manhattan for now, as no McDonald’s in the outer-boroughs asked the investigators to pay up.
