Columbia football player charged with harassing Asian student

NEW YORK (PIX11) — A Columbia University football player is facing charges after police say he threatened another student, calling him racial slurs.

Sources told cops, Chad Washington started heckling an Asian woman as she was leaving her dorm room Sunday.

When the victim tried to defend her, Washington allegedly pushed him against a wall and grabbed him.

Washington was charged with aggravated harassment as a hate crime.

    That is assault, not just harrassment. They are letting him get away with it. If the victim had been black, it would've been treated more seriously. Anyone is capable of racism.
