Each year, Cinco de Mayo in New York City brings out the crowds. They’re here to eat, drink and celebrate — but celebrate what exactly? We found a lot of folks don’t really know.

On Cinco de Mayo its important to have the right sombrero, the right margaritas and of course really good guacamole.

While many people don’t know what they’re celebrating exactly, having a good time and being with friends seems to be the point of all — whether they know why they’re toasting this day or not.
