Today at Indiana University, they held commencement ceremonies — a bittersweet day because Lauren Spierer would have graduated today.

The class of 2013 got their diplomas, nearly two years after the Greenburgh native disappeared during her sophomore year.

What should have been joy and hope for a bright future, was tempered by sadness for many who were in attendance.

Many of the students wrote the number 63 on their hands. It was on June 3rd, 2011 that Spierer vanished.
