A Brooklyn Heights playground was dedicated Friday to one of the borough’s most famous musicians — Beastie Boy’s co-founder Adam Yauch.

Yauch passed away in May 2012 after a three year battle with cancer.

He was 47.

Friday, his old friend and Beastie Boys co-founder Adam “Ad Rock” Horovitz joined city officials, friends and family for a renaming ceremony.

From now on the palmetto playground will be known as the Adam Yauch Park.
