We highlighted the concerns about work conditions in the factories where the clothes we buy are made — now some companies are taking action.

Since the factory collapse in Bangladesh that killed more than 400 workers, many Western apparel companies with ties to the country have been scrambling to improve conditions.

Some companies are leaving the country altogether.

The Walt Disney company ordered an end to production in Bangladesh in March, after a November fire at a factory that made Disney apparel.
