A Long Island man is facing charges Thursday after cops say he attacked a woman over an ice cream cone.

Police say 59-year-old William Hotz of Valley Stream went into a Carvel on Dutch Broadway with a coupon for a free cone.

When the woman behind the counter told Hotz it expired, she says he walked out.

She confronted him in the parking lot where she says Hotz punched her several times in the face.

Now Hotz is charged with robbery and resisting arrest.
