Officer injured during shootout with bombing suspects recovering

The Boston transit officer shot during last Thursday night’s shootout between the Boston Police Department and the two suspects is recovering.

Officer Richard Donohue was shot in the thigh during the violent exchange.

He remains in critical condition at Mount Auburn Hospital.

Sunday morning Donahue was able to wiggle his toes and squeeze his wife’s hand.

Donohue is currently using a ventilator.
