NEW YORK (PIX11)– The New York Jets have reportedly agreed in principle to trade star cornerback Darrelle Revis to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Bucs have reportedly agreed to a long-term contract with Revis.

Sources say this trade could make him one of the highest paid non-quarterbacks in the NFL.

As far as numbers go, Revis is seeking $15 million to $16 million per year. A deal the New York Jets were not on board with.

Speculation has been building that the long time Jets cornerback would be traded.

On Sunday Revis flew to Tampa Bay for a physical.

If the physical goes well the final agreement could be reached Sunday night or Monday morning.
