BOSTON (PIX11) — The lid of the pressure cooker thought to have been used in the Boston marathon bombings was found on a nearby roof, CNN is reporting.

It could provide more clues for investigators, and help track down, what kind of pressure was used, and where it could’ve been sold or made.

Hours earlier, authorities recovered other remains of the pressure cooker along with another metal container that exploded Monday near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing 3 and wounding 176 people.

Investigators also found a shredded, black nylon backpack which the pressure cooker bomb was likely inside of when it was placed near the crowded marathon route, according to a joint FBI and Homeland Security report.
