Excessive touching by agents at airports is once again taking center stage in the Texas legislature.

The House State Affairs Committee heard testimony on a new bill that would make touching private parts illegal without probable cause.

The bill’s sponsor says it’s necessary now that traditional metal detectors are being replaced by body scanners.

There is concern that if the bill passes the federal government could ground all flights in and out of Texas.
