‘Cookie Monster’ arrested for allegedly attacking tot in Times Square

A man dressed as a Cookie Monster was arrested in Times Square Sunday after he allegedly attacked a 2-year-old.

According to published reports, the suspect who was identified as Osvaldo Quiroz-Lopez shoved the child after his mother refused to pay the character $2 for a photo.

The 33-year-old man apparently threw a fit after getting denied by the mother which led to the attack of the child.

Quiroz-Lopez was charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

    Lst Christmas , my boyfriend and I took our daughter to the city. As i am trying to take pics of my daughter, these people dressed up in horrible costumes run in to the pic and then demand money. These people need to be removed .

    No doubt, it could be possible, two years ago I tried to take a picture along with one of those performers and his response was so rough and stupid — if you want a photo, pay 5 dollars — Ok, no problem, the tip is important but it's to consideration of the visitor, no obligation.
