The NYPD is looking for a man who goes into Brooklyn laundromats and exposes himself to teenage girls and women. And according to cops, he even rubs up against his victims.
“I am still in shock that is happening. He’s got to have some mental issues to do the that,” said Brooklyn resident Ceci Gomez.
Police are not releasing the exact locations, but here have been 4 reported incidents so far. The first two were on March 18th in the 83rd precinct. According to the NYPD, the suspect approached two teenage girls; just 14-years-old and 16-years-old at about 8pm. Then just over an hour later at 9:10pm police said the man struck again. He did the same thing to another 14-year-old girl.
And there were two more forcible touching incidents on March 30th. The NYPD said the same suspect approached women in the 69th precinct. The first unsuspecting woman, age 43, was touched just before 9am. Then only 20 minutes later, he rubbed up against a 32-year-old woman.
“I don’t think a lot of people go into laundromats and do that, but that’s pretty scary and hopefully someone will come forward and someone will grab the guy at some point,” said Brooklyn resident Stephanie Berland.
Even though police said there were no injuries reported, both Berland and Gomez said until the man is caught, they will be doing their laundry together.
The NYPD described the suspect as a black man, 5’9″ to 6’2″ and weighs approximately 200 pounds.
Anyone with information regarding these incidents is urged to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline. That number is 1-800-577-TIPS. All calls are confidential.
