Wake held for teen hit and killed by a subway

LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK (PIX11)- Services were held on Saturday for the Long Island teenager who was hit and killed by a subway.

Liam Armstrong of Nesconset was struck by a train Tuesday evening while out celebrating his 18th birthday.

Friends and family gathered at Maloney Funeral Home in Hauppauge.

Armstrong was trying to cross the subway tacks when he was hit by an uptown two train. He died at the scene.

Friends of the teen say he was outgoing, well-liked and an overall nice guy.
