NEW YORK (PIX11)- Sex info sent directly to a teenagers phone.

The New York City Health Department is now marketing a new sexual health app to teenagers.

The “teens in NYC protection plus” app has info on everything teens need to know about safe sex.

It provides teens with locations of free clinics for sexually transmitted disease testing as well as directions on how to get the morning-after pill.

City officials say they’re using every weapon in their arsenal to keep teens from getting pregnant.

This is the second big innovative the city has taken on this issue.

Earlier this month ads started popping up all around the five boroughs targeting teen pregnancy issues.

The ads feature young children and babies with statistics showing the negative impacts of getting pregnant while being a teenager.
