NASA confirms ‘fireball’ seen streaking across sky Friday was a meteor

PIX11– NASA scientists are now confirming the object seen streaking across the sky Friday night was in fact a meteor.

It was visible to most of the east coast for about 40 seconds and was as bright as a full moon.

The scientists estimate it entered the atmosphere above eastern Pennsylvania and was only about three feet across.

Luckily, it didn’t cause any damage when it collided with planet Earth.
