If  there were  awards for being charming, poised and extremely nice–actor Jake T. Austin would have dozens of them.  The 18-year-old gave PIX11 Morning News anchor Sukanya Krishnan a sneak peek at his TV special “The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex.”  This show, which airs tonight at 8, reunites the cast of Disney Channel’s “Wizards of Waverly Place” and provides closure to the series which millions of fans tuned in to every week for five seasons.

Most recently, Austin, along with actress Uma Thurman, participated in a reading event at the New York Public Library for the organization Read Across America.  He read “Green Eggs & Ham” to a group of children, while Uma read “The Cat in the Hat.”  The Read Across America program is designed to inspire youngsters to read.

On the big screen, Jake is set to star as “Huck” in the film “Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn.”  …And on the small screen, the actor has a TV series called “The Fosters,” which is executive produced by Jennifer Lopez.  It comes to ABC Family Channel this summer.
