Two bodies were uncovered in a brush fire that broke out in Howard Beach early Wednesday.

According to officials the bodies were those of two adults and were found face down and bound.

Responding firefighters found the bodies near 159th Street and 78th Street just before 4:30 a.m. in Spring Creek Park.

Investigators believe the fire was started in an attempt to cover up the dumping of the bodies.

Firefighters managed to contain the flames which did not spread to nearby homes. Cops were still on the scene late Wednesday morning, investigating the cause of the fire.
